Bariton Siniša Hapač, a native of Zagreb, Croatia, studied music and performing arts in his hometown, and further perfected his technique at the Conservatorio Giuseppe Verdi in Milan. Since 2001 the artist has been a soloist at the Croatian National Theater and made his professional debut as Alcade in Verdi’s La Forza del Destino. After his debut he was also heard as Simon and Marco in Puccini’s Gianni Schicchi, Talpa (Il tabarro), Benoit (La Boheme).

For the 2010/11 season at the Croatian National Theater in Zagreb, Mr. Hapac will be heard as Mazeppa, Luigi (Tabarro). He will also debut the role of Don Carlo in Verdi's La Forza del Destino with the Rijeka National Theater in February 2011.

He has also appeared in the following roles at the Croatian National Theater: Amonasro, Escamillo, Paolo (Simon Boccanegra, Verdi); Rigoletto (Rigoletto, Verdi); Tonio, (Pagliacci, Leoncavallo); Renato (Un ballo in maschera),Michele (Il Tabarro), Alfio (Cavalleria rusticana), Marcello (La Boheme) and Mazeppa (title role).

During the 2009/10 season Mr. Hapac received the prestigious ''Vladimir Ruždjak'' award for the best role interpretation from the Croatian National Theater for his performances of Mazeppa.

The artist has also performed numerous leading roles in Croatian operas: Zrinjski (N.Š.Zrinjski,I.pl.Zajc), Koriolan (Koriolan, Šulek), and Obren (Love and Evil, Lisinski).

Mr. Hapac has also appeared at the Croatia Summer Nights Festival, the Frakopan Castle Festival, Zrinjski Festival, Slovenia Festival Gostic Day's in Ljubljana Rigoletto, (Rigoletto, Verdi), Croatia Summer Festival in Opatija (Gianni Schicchi).

The artist also has extensive concert experience and has sung Berlioz’s Romeo and Juliet, Lelio , V. Lisinski : Love and Evil, at The Philharmonic Ball, and has worked with important stage directors such as Ozren Prohic, Kresimir Dolencic, Philipp Himmelmann, Arnaud Bernard. He has also sung under the baton of distinguished conductors such as V.Sutej, N.Bareza; L Voltolini; I.Lipanović, P. Dešpalj, J.Wildner, Michael Helmarth, Mikhael Sinkevich.

He has been invited to perform as a soloist with the Zagreb Philharmonic Orchestra, Symphonic Orchestra in Zagreb, and the National Radio and TV House. Mr. Hapac has appeared to great critical acclaim at every opera house in Croatia (Zagreb, Split,Osijek, Rijeka) Bosnia and Herzegowina (Sarajevo), Slovenia (Maribor, Ljubljana) and at summer festivals in Hungary. During the 2005/6 season he was nominated for the National Theater Award for his performance of N.Š.Zrinjski at the Croatian National Opera.
