
Dramatic coloratura soprano Nadine Koutcher, a native of Minsk, Belarus, graduated from the Minsk College of Music in 2003 where she also began to study singing, and obtained a degree in Musicology. She is currently a student of Tamara Novichenko at the St. Petersburg Conservatory and during her time there has appeared in productions of La Traviata as Violetta and Rimsky-Korsakov's The Czar's Bride as Marfa. Ms. Koutcher made her professional debut in October 2009 at the Mikhailovsky Theater in St. Petersburg, where she took over the role of Violetta in La Traviata with 2-days notice.
Ms. Koutcher has appeared in concerts and has won 1st prizes in many competitions including the Irina Bogatchova Third Open National Competition in Saint-Petersburg, the Bibigul Tulegenova International Vocal Competition in Almaty, Kazakhstan, and the Vocal Competition of the International Festival of Christian Music "Mahutny Boza" in Mogilev, Belarus in 2005.
