Young Hungarian soprano Brigitta Simon currently studies at the Musikuniversität in Vienna with Margit Klaushofer. She was able to attract attention as the youngest participant of many singing competitions in her native Hungary, and most notably was the youngest singer of Placido Domingo's Operalia in 2009 and was a finalist in the Zarzuela category, and was invited to sing in an outdoor concert in Pecs, alongside Placido Domingo.
A debut at the Hungarian State Opera followed where Ms. Simon appeared with the Pannon Philharmonicconducted by Placido Domingo.
Ms. Simon is currently attending the Centro de Perfeccionamiento Plácido Domingo at the Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía in Valenia, Spain for the 2011/12 season.
In 2010 Brigitta Simon was heard as Zerlina in Mozart's Don Giovanni for her role debut under the direction of Niels Muus at the Musikfestival Steyr in Austria and also appeared as the sopano solo in Charpentier's Te Deum. The singer has also participated in masterclasses with Julia Hamari and Margit Klaushofer.
